Vita 34 is working so that the storage of the blood of the umbilical cord, which is rich in stem cells, becomes generally known and even standard in the medium term. Vita 34 is therefore convinced that every newborn has a right to benefit from the medical state-of-the-art of its time and to be granted the best health care for its life. In the future we do not only want a couple of privileged people but everybody to have a second chance thank to access to their own young and healthy stem cells in the event of a serious disease.

The trust which more than 70,000 parents have already shown us by permanently storing their valuable blood of the umbilical cord at Vita 34 obliges us to use this value in full. We therefore believe that it is our duty to research further, hitherto undiscovered potential of this medical resource and to further develop as many treatment approaches as possible. In doing so, we wish to continuously expand the areas of application of stem cells from the blood of the umbilical cord and open up completely new treatment options for an increasing number of diseases.

In order for us to be able to guarantee the quality of the complete recovery and storage process, we do everything ourselves. Every work step is carried out in accordance with our guidelines and under the continuous control from expert staff in our own, officially authorised clean room laboratory in Leipzig. Executive employees check several times a day that the preparations are kept properly.
Own special laboratory
The special laboratory of Vita 34 operates exclusively in line with the top medical quality standards and is monitored by the Paul-Ehrlich Institute, a department of the Federal Ministry of Health. The Leipzig Regional Commission has granted Vita 34 the GMP certificate.

In order to ensure top quality, Vita 34 has organised all details – from the delivery ward through to the laboratory – and developed all tools itself in accordance with top standards. All preparations are stored at Vita 34 as whole blood. In doing so, we avoid discarding valuable stem cells or elements of the blood of the umbilical cord which are today not yet used. We also ensure that every child has the maximum amount of stem cells available. Because our method is secure and tried and tested, Vita 34 has been granted a medication licence for blood of the umbilical cord preparations as the only bank for blood of the umbilical cord for private use in Europe.

We offer our customers absolute transparency and contractual security. The fees incurred when storing the stem cells are clearly defined from the outset. As the contract tem is unlimited, our customers or their mature children decide for themselves how long they wish to store the stem cells. Even into high age.
